The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), offer great educational resources to K-12 students, especially in American history.
This past spring, many families found themselves helping with their children’s education at home and many families continue a more hands-on participation in their children’s schooling while many have decided to homeschool independently. DAR resources can provide quality help to those parents.
You can find great lesson plans through our DAR website:
These engaging resources are provided by the NSDAR Educational Resources Committee and new lesson plans are uploaded monthly. Their contents focus on American history, government, heritage, genealogy as well as related language and math topics. Lesson plans are searchable by using keywords to find just the right fit for each homeschooling family.
If you know anyone looking for homeschooling tips and support, a group of experienced homeschool moms have set up a new website to help them at: www.eaglemomsquad.com Of course public and private teachers could also use all the help and support we can give during this pandemic and beyond. Contact your local school district to see how you might be of service to connect local educators to DAR resources.
Together, we can help American kids have all they need to make a great future for themselves and their country.
